This is one of my favorite ways to use the I Spy sheets. They can be used in so many different ways, but for this large group lesson we were learning the number four. I printed the page on colored paper, laminated it, and gave each child a ball of Play Doh. They rolled mini balls, placed them on each number four, and then pushed the Play Doh down like a button while saying “four” each time. It is simple, but it gives them number recognition practice, fine motor work, and a hands on way to focus on one number at a time.
