SWD Live! How to Paint a Dot Mandala Dot Along #025

Join me for a Live Event Mandala Dot Along! This is my first live project so we'll just see how it goes! The thumbnail is the project we'll work on. Hope you like it and that it's not too ambitious! Don't feel any pressure or be intimidated, practice along or dot along. All is good.

Tools/Materials
Crystalite Crochet Hook Sets - I use the Crystalites Crochet Hook Sets and nail dotting set. Some may have to do a conversion or get as close as possible for the crochet hooks. It's not possible to say exactly which nail dotter to use because there is a lot of variability in sets. Below are the Crystalites I'll use. Hope to see you tomorrow.

G-6/4.0mm
H-8/5.0mm
I-9/5.5mm
L-11/8.0mm
P-16/11.5mm

6"x6" canvas painted black
I used DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint:
Cadmium Yellow - DAO10
Acrylic Orange Flame - DA315
Lipstick - DA506 (Multi-surface)
Festive Green - DA230
Sour Apple - DA275.

Of course, you don't have to use these colors, use what you like. This may be a longish project for a live so I'll probably do the basic pattern, discuss Top Dots and let you do the Top Dots on your own since I usually do them when the painting is dry. It would be helpful if you had your canvas ready and grid lines placed. I used my Mandala Guideline Stencils - 5.75" circle stencil and Mandala Design Shapes but you don't have to have these, an 8 segment grid with circles will work.
