Jean-Michel Basquiat Exhibit/Brant Foundation 2019

For nearly two months, the Brant Foundation in New York's East Village hosted a gallery exhibit by Jean-Michel Basquiat. I have been a fan of his work for many years and was excited to view the showing of over 72 pieces of art. Some paintings I'd seen before and there were many others that I hadn't. The exhibit even included the piece that sold for more than $110 million at a Sotheby's auction.

During the early 1980s, Basquiat (1960- 1988) made his initial mark on the art world with unique and message-filled paintings. During his time as an artist, he created more than 2,000 drawings and 1,000 paintings. Some of the work is shown here in this video.
