Can a $30 vintage Olympus lens outperform a modern kit lens? // Olympus OM G.Zuiko Auto-W

I recently became interested in lenses, but didn't want to spend a lot of money to get a new one. Enter vintage lenses: I picked up an Olympus lens - specifically, an Olympus OM G.Zuiko Auto-W 28mm f/3.5 wide-angle lens - on eBay for $30. In this video, I talk about how I disassembled and adapted the lens to fit on my modern Nikon DSLR. Then, I put it up against my Nikon 18-55mm kit lens in a side-by-side comparison. *Trader Joe's version of Takis were involved in the making of this video.*
