Indoor and Outdoor Obstacle Course Set Up

School Fun Run created the @HOME FUN RUN to support The Smith Family as they endeavour to ensure no Australian child is left behind during COVID-19 and beyond.

In this video we try to answer the questions

(1) what is an at home fun run and
(2) how do you set up an obstacle course for kids.

Both indoor obstacle course and also outdoor obstacle courses for children.

We used pool noodles in sports cones, a play tunnel, basketball for wall balls, skipping rope, a tarp to crawl under, Lillie pads, stepping stones, egg & spoon, balance beam, balloons, a mini trampoline, hurdles, Frisbees etc. You can substitute any of these things with household items. Swap the hurdles with shoe boxes, the tarp with a sheet, the upright pool noodles with cans of food. Anything goes so long as its SAFE.

AT HOME FUN RUN will connect families below the poverty line to remote learning through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life Program. Further, every donation of $10 or more will also see a Christmas present donated for an Australian child that would otherwise miss out.

Families create a backyard Obstacle Course to make magic memories with their kids, while teaching children the power of giving and helping Australian families in need.
