Goldfinches take seeds while walking on the top of snow

A lot of snow in winter makes difficulties for seed-eating birds, which stay for the winter with us. One of such species is Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis), but sometimes, when snow is deep enaugh, birds can use it to walk on it to the seeds from the top of Chicory (Cichorium intybus) and other plants they like to eat.
