A concrete worker reinforces a re-entrant corner by placing extra steel rods across the weak inside corner before the slab fully sets. Re-entrant corners are common crack-starting points because shrinkage stress tends to concentrate around sharp inside angles. The added bars help bridge the vulnerable area and give the slab extra support where cracking is most likely to begin. The best version of this method is usually tied into the main reinforcement before the pour, but the clip clearly shows the logic behind strengthening the corner before the crack has a chance to travel.
