How to make windows look taller with trim and molding to acommodate floor to ceiling drapes. Kitchen Nook and Hearth Room Open Floor Plan

Hello everyone, These are the drapes that were originally curtains. I had my seamstress add lining, pleats, and a hem to accommodate the height of my ceilings. I loved the look of the long drapes but I didn't like the look of the space between the window trim and ceiling. So, I decided to add some trim to make the windows appear to be taller. I have listed below most of the items in the areas. The chairs are new purchases from Home Goods--let me know what you think of them. I'm trying to decide should I keep them.
