Construction of a standard cricket pitch has started at Baijnath Secondary School in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur. Kanchanpur, which has produced talented players for the national cricket team, has not been able to develop its playing skills due to the lack of an organized playing field. In view of the recent interest in cricket among the youth, former students have started building a field in the school premises.
Baijnath Secondary School has started the construction of a cricket ground in collaboration with former students. Now the land for the playground has been marked and the soil filling has been started.
It is expected that it will help the students to produce excellent players along with academic knowledge and interest towards the game.
