How Great Leaders Energize Their Organizations | Ranjay Gulati | TEDxBabsonCollege
Ranjay Gulati, a professor at the Harvard Business School, shows how leaders who ground their organization with a deep sense of purpose can achieve exceptional results. With captivating stories of courageous actions by front-line employees he shows how those arose out of a belief that work wasn’t merely a job, but something that was deeply inspiring. With purpose, such organizations also engage other stakeholders in their ecosystem in a nexus of shared responsibility and trust. He is the author of Deep Purpose: The Heart and Soul of High-Performance Companies. Ranjay is a professor at Harvard Business School and an expert on leadership, strategy, and organizational growth. He chaired the Advanced Management Program, the school’s flagship senior leader executive program, has authored 7 books, and has been ranked as one of the top 10 most-cited academics in the fields of economics. Ranjay has received recognition from various publications and his research has appeared in leading academic journals of business as well as major publications like the Harvard Business Review, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and the Financial Times. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
