New California Dreamin’ water park to replace Raging Waters in Sacramento won’t open in 2024
Water park fans hoping to return to the site of the former Raging Waters at Sacramento’s Cal Expo this summer will have to wait longer to cool off. Silverwood Entertainment CEO Steven Dooner confirmed to KCRA 3 that work on the California Dreamin’ park has been delayed. “We are doing a complete redesign of the waterpark at Cal Expo, and due to the extensive amount of demolition that we are now planning to do, the permitting process is taking longer than we hoped,” he said in a statement. He said he hoped to begin demolition at the end of June and construction soon afterward.
