Data Warehouse Architecture

A Data Warehouse Architecture is a structured design that defines how data is collected, stored, processed, and accessed in a data warehouse system. It is mainly used to support business intelligence, reporting, and data analysis. The architecture typically includes three main layers: the data source layer, the data staging/ETL layer, and the data presentation layer. In the data source layer, data is collected from different systems such as databases, applications, and external sources. The ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) layer is responsible for extracting raw data, cleaning it, transforming it into a consistent format, and loading it into the warehouse. Finally, the presentation layer is where the processed data is stored in a structured form like tables or data marts, allowing users to run queries, generate reports, and perform analysis.
