Cat's Eye Nebula In Kannada | Nebula In Kannada | Kannadashaale Facts

Billions of years ago, there was a normal sun like star located far away from the earth, but as time passed that star got older and soon it lost most of its fuel but before it's death that star entered red giant phase. In the red giant phase a series of pulse events occured and the star ejected a lot of it's mass. That mass slowly surrounded the star and created these onion like shells. Today that star is a planetary nebula located 3,262 light years away from us and it's known as Cat's Eye Nebula. Cat's Eye Nebula is also known as NGC 6543 and Caldwell 6. It is located in Draco constellation and it was discovered by astronomer William Herschel on 15th Feb 1786 and it has a apparent magnitude of 9.8 .
