Turning Korean BBQ Into EPIC Electro House Music

I can't believe I've never heard of this before! I think food is my new favorite instrument haha. It sounds crazy, but I asked myself if I could figure out how to make bass house music with food. I love both bass house music and food, so it seemed only natural to combine them. I went to a local restaurant with my friend Miguel and we recorded some sounds of the food cooking, and then took those sounds into the studio to create a bass house track from scratch. You’ll be surprised by how sizzling meat, chopsticks, and hot grills can make such catchy beats. So this is how we made bass house music with a bit of a food twist!

I’m an electronic music producer and DJ, and in this video, I’ll show you our entire journey of making house music with food sounds. Bass house is a style of house music that combines elements of riddim and UK bass, and often plays with heavy distortion. It’s one of my favorite genres and making house music from food sounds was the ultimate challenge!

You’ll see how we record the various sounds while the food was being cooked, you’ll see how we take the sounds back into the studio and how we use them to create a catchy and banging bass house track.

You’ll be amazed by how many different sounds we came up with just by using different tools and techniques to transform the sounds into musical elements, such as drums, bass, chords, and melodies. You’ll see how I use samples and synthesizers layered with FX like delay, distortion, and filters to create some truly wild sounds. You’ll also learn how I mix and arrange the track to make it sound professional and polished.

This is a crazy and awesome challenge that shows the potential of using everyday sounds to make music.
