Lorry driver tries to destroy phone moments after fatal crash

Police have released footage of the moment Donnington lorry driver Michal Kopaniarz tried to destroy the mobile phone that had distracted him, leading to a fatal crash on the A303 in Hampshire.

At Winchester Crown Court on Friday, February 24, the 39-year-old was jailed for 12 years after pleading guilty to three charges of causing death by dangerous driving in connection and perverting the course of justice.
