Central Asia: The Bridge Across Forever - Tajikistan
Silk Route, the commercial highway of the world has been fundamental in bridging the gap between different civilisations and cultures. Both Central Asia and India have been witness to several warriors and conquerers and have also shared common roots of existence in many ways. The film 'The Bridge Across Forever' recalls different aspects of these relations in terms of history, culture, trade and commerce. The shared history and culture of these two regions is evident. Secularism, the very basic fabric of the Indian and the Tajik society is the guiding force of these two ancient friends. One of the bridges between Tajikistan and India has been the path that the Sufi saints like Amir Khusrau travelled through. The future of this relationship between Tajikistan and India is no longer on the horizon but now a bold reality.
