5 tips to maximize your electric guitar playing // Guitar Lesson

In this video, Bradford illustrates (and demonstrates) five tips you can put into practice today to take your electric guitar playing to the next level. We also play through a full song and use all 5 tips to show you how to put them into practice.

Here are the 5 tips:

01:08 - Tip 1. Don't play big chords until you have to. Save them for the biggest part of the song.

01:55 - Tip 2. Don't strum your electric guitar like an acoustic guitar.

02:24 - Tip 3. Use alternate chord voicings.

03:07 - Tip 4. Sit out. You don't have to play during every part of the song. The notes you don't play are just as important as the ones you do.

04:14 - Tip 5. Use single note lead lines.
