Great Wall of China - Jiankou 'Wild' Wall

After eating lunch at Zhao's Hostel we hiked to the Zhengbei tower. It's not a long hike but the grade is over 30% with most of the climbing done in the last half. You go up one foot for every three forward, this is steep!
Jiankou means 'Arrow's Knock.' It is so named because the peaks resemble the points of an arrow. Built during the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644) the Jiankou Great Wall is 9.3 miles long and connects the Mutian Yu wall in he west to the Huanghua wall in the west.
