SUMMITING THE PHILIPPINES PROTECTED MOUNTAIN (Mt. Hamiguitan, Davao Oriental)

We couldn't have hoped for a better ending to our trip up what could very well be the best mountain for trekking in the Philippines...

We woke up to trek the summit of Mt. Hamiguitan for sunrise. Tired, damp, and lacking a bit of energy... all of that went away when we reached "heavens door" and the sun started to come up through the clouds!

UNBELIEVABLE.

This was one of the best sunrises I have ever seen in my life. It was truly the perfect ending to our trip in Davao. One of the best experiences I have had in the Philippines, with an amazing group of people!

Mt. Hamiguitan is a Unesco World Heritage Mountain in Mindanao, and it was such a beautiful place to explore!
