Beautiful Belfast in 1898 in color! | AI Enhanced Film

This film, which has been dated to roughly 1898 but whose makers remain unidentified, consists of a number of views of Belfast, initially looking down the street to the Albert Memorial Clock Tower, showing a horse-drawn tram and wagon alongside pedestrians. Then it's on to Queen's Bridge, followed by a gentle pan which takes in the dockyards to reveal a ship being unloaded.

I used many Deep Learning algorithms to create the fully remastered version of this film. This whole process took me several days because of how slow the neural networks ran. Here were the tools I used in order to create this awesome version!

✔ Colorized – please, be aware that colorization colors are not real and fake, colorization was made only for the ambiance and does not represent real historical data.

✔ Sharpened the video
✔ Scratches, noise, and imperfections removed
✔ Added realistic sounds for ambiance and mood
