‘Not buying it’: Starmer attempts to blame the UK economy on Trump

Writer and Broadcaster Esther Krakue criticises UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer for blaming the economy on US President Donald Trump and the conflict in the Middle East.

“I think it’s kind of been a gift for the Labour Party,” Ms Krakue told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“Most voters, surprisingly, are not buying it.

“A lot of people don’t have a lot of patience for the Labour government now trying to posture and saying it’s Trump's fault.

“The economy hasn’t been in good hands for the year and a half that Labour has been in power.”
