Mothers will lift cars off their children when they are trapped. My daughter was trapped in her own body. Completely nonverbal. She was so frustrated she was hitting her head into walls hard enough to injure herself. We were looking at helmets. So I stopped waiting for answers and built my own. I didn’t do this as a researcher. I did this as a mother who had no other option. And it worked. Now the same mechanisms I mapped are showing up in major studies from Princeton, Stanford, Harvard, and Yale. I asked for collaboration. Not plagiarism. And definitely not erasure. I documented everything. Timestamped. Public. Traceable. Underestimating a desperate mother was a mistake. My daughter was trapped, so I had to get her out.
