How to Speedrun Solo Blood of the Dead Easter Egg (World Record Strategy)

This video is for those who want to learn/want to improve speedrunning on Blood of the Dead solo. Currently, I hold the World Record at 1:02:46.

Disclaimer - I would use a mic over the gameplay, but I don't have the necessary equipment to actually do that and play (I could improvise throughout the gameplay, but that wouldn't be as "in depth" as I would want it to be). I apologize ahead of time.

To start off, you should follow my perk loadout, my elixir loadout, and my equipment and special weapon. MAKE SURE YOU ARE PLAYING AS RICHTOFEN. Getting a WR is impossible if you are not playing as Richtofen.

First, get through round 1 as fast as possible. You need at least 1250 by the end of it.

Round 2 - Go to New Industries, and work on the dog. There are 8 Zombies this round, and you need 6 to feed the dog. You should use your Arsenal Accelerator here or when you spawn in. Either works.

Round 3 - Turn on the power, and proceed through the catwalk. You need your special weapon here. Throw a frag at the Warden so he spawns in. This is optional, but he gives you an extra 1000 points. End the round after you arrive at the Cell Block. Grab the spectral essence for the shield on your way. If it's at the Auger wallbuy, grab it round 5.

Round 4 - Turn on the power at Docks. End the round when you get there. Grab the shield piece while running down.
Between 4 and 5 - Kill both the Wardens and grab the final shield part.

Round 5 - Build the shield and work on the Cell Block Dog. You should be working on shield blasts as well. Risky, but you need all the zombies you can get next round. When the round finishes, GRAB THE MOG. You need something so you can knife with the spoon.

Round 6 - Work on the Warden's House dog. Before starting there, get your 3 numbers for the spoon and buy Staminup. A Warden should spawn in, so kill him with your Mog. When you reach 5 zombies, pull out your special weapon into the horde of zombies and get your Katana to level 2. End the round as soon as possible here.

Round 7 - Get the spoon, and follow the same path as I do while getting the spoon. You should enter the Gondola when you have 1 Zombie left (I made this mistake and ended the round - don't do it, believe me.)

Round 8 - Work on getting your free Monkeys. Make sure you have enough Zombies to use your sword against, and end the round once you enter the Secret Room.

Round 9 - Your goal here is to get the upgraded shield. You should have more than enough points to get it here. Make sure you don't pick up Monkeys, though. The run is dead if you do. Make sure to save a zombie, and check the 3 locations I do here. These are the only 3 possible spawns for the first bird. Blast it, and end the round.

You should probably start at Docks if you can for the 4th bird, but either way works. Once you look at the bird and hear a laughing effect, you're good to go. I assume you all know how this part works, so I'll leave it at that.

Now onto the challenges.

New Industries - You need 4 shield blasts on the Ghost. You're probably going to have to end the round. Be smart as to where and when you get your charges and when you hit the Ghost with those charges. When you finish, activate your Anti-Entrapment while the ghost is next to the trap, activate it, and grab the orb.

Showers - Pretty self explainatory. End the round if there are only a few zombies left.

Docks - Just guess and check. For me, usually, I get 1 short, then x amount of longs, then y amount of shorts. Sometimes, you get 5 inputs, other times, you get 10. I got lucky enough to get 5 straight shorts, but that will almost never happen. If you spend more than a minute on this step, your run is probably dead if you're looking for a world record.
If you're ready, go ahead and pack-a-punch here. If you have the points, that is.
MAKE SURE THE GONDOLA IS AT THE CELL BLOCK

Powerhouse - Play Simon Says. You should make a chart of which symbol correlates to each location. The symbol is the same for each location every game, so if you write them down, it can save you a good minute. Make sure you have shield charges here, you're gonna need them. Also, I do this a lot, DONT FORGET THE CARD.

Michigan Avenue - At least one of the powerups will be an Insta-Kill. Grab it after using a temporal gift. Do this if you have enough charges.

Then it's bossfight, then you're done.

Side notes:
- Do not get the Magmagat. Use The Sweeper
- Prioritize Shield Charges throughout the Easter Egg
- Look for power boxes while running around the map (major time save if you get lucky enough)
- Challenges should take no more than 30 minutes (29 minutes to be exact).
- Birds are the main RNG in this easter egg. Everything else is mostly skill.
- Showers later on = better
- This is a process, not everyone likes this easter egg. It takes time and practice.
