Hi, Dr. Aaron Spitz here, America’s favorite penis doctor, and I want to tell you what to expect following a vasectomy reversal.

Now, the vasectomy reversal is a very delicate and meticulous operation in which we’re reconnecting the vas deferens, whose diameter is only a third of a millimeter, so you really have to baby it.

Those first two days you just want to sit or lay around and ice it. Ice it plenty! After that, maybe a couple of times a day out to the one-week mark, and you want to wear supportive underwear or that jock strap for a good week or two.

The main difference with a vasectomy is that you cannot have sex or exercise for three to four weeks. That’s right, no sex or exercise for three to four weeks.

I know, guys. You’re really going to miss the exercise.

But that’s really all there is to it. And the amount of pain and discomfort is very similar to a vasectomy, and if you follow the rules, hopefully you end up with a very happy outcome.

[Closing music]
