How to sound better with an octaver (ambient metal lead tone tutorial)

Ever wondered how to sound better with an octaver effect? In this ambient metal lead tone tutorial, I show how I use and octaver pedal or octaver effect, depending if you’re on an axe fx like me, or using real amps and pedals, I find that octaver and pitch shifter effects are pretty easy to get a useable tone, but if you’re not careful it can get muddy very fast.
I’m building this tone for ambient guitar applications, as the octaver effect gives you a much bigger almost sci fi like sound.
