Grizzly & Coyote Hunt New Bison Calf

Only about an hour before, I watched this bison mom as it prepared to give birth, arching against contractions. Mom was nervous and despite her advanced stage of labor wouldn't allow the herd to leave her behind and so they disappeared behind a hill. A short time later I saw the same bison cow (distinctive horns) with her new calf, afterbirth still dangling, running from a 3 year old grizzly boar and a coyote. The grizzly chased the coyote away and then tried to get close to the bison but mom was on high alert and trying to make her way to the road where there were a number of people watching nature's story. The calf, moments old, already knew to stay close to mom and did a great job keeping up with her as she ran from the predators.
