Hot Take: I love winter hiking!! We’ve been loving getting outside this winter and as long as we’ve got layers we feel great!

Here’s some tips to keep baby warm & protected while you’re out exploring.

My number 1 tip for keeping a baby warm is dressing them in proper layers!!
- Use a layering system like a base layer, mid layer, and waterproof layer

- For a mid layer, fleece is awesome. Fleece jammies are a great option and you probably have some around your house already!
- The top layer can change depending on weather, but it could be a waterproof layer like a snowsuit or something like fleece bunting. I like when the bunting that folds over hands and feet for babies that aren’t mobile!

Other things to keep babies warm:
- Cover a baby’s head with a beanie or warm hat
- If mittens won’t stay on, use longer socks over their hands
- For protecting baby’s cheeks from the wind, use a balm
- Add booties or boots over wool socks to keep their feet warm!
