This player started the session with a dynamic lie of 69° and by the end we’d got it down to 60°.

When I see this number shift excessively away from around 62° for a mid iron, I look for the reasons why.

When the club is delivered too upright through impact, it can makes strike and face control much harder.

In this case, it was contributing to toe strikes, inconsistent contact and making it more difficult to start the ball where he wanted.

We worked on improving his impact position and how the club was being delivered into the ball.

The cool part is that the TrackMan numbers started changing almost immediately.
69° ➡️ 60°

Now we must be careful not to just chase numbers, but what that number represents is:
✅ Better impact position
✅ Better club delivery
✅ Better strike quality
✅ More consistent golf shots
