This Smash version from 1965 is pure Jerry Lee, not a lick different from the sound he established on Sun during his forays into similiar material. This track appeared on his 'Country Songs for City Folks' album, but what is more telling is the fact that is was recorded at the same session that produced 'Mathilda', 'Corrine Corrina', 'Got You On My Mind' and 'Sexy Ways'. For Jerry Lee Lewis, the line between country music and the blues has always been vague.
