If Day 72 was about peeking at a new model's performance without consequence (Shadow Mode), Day 73 is about letting that model earn its place in production, one small step at a time, with live user traffic.

The machine learning models we craft are sophisticated, but their behavior in the wild can be unpredictable. Unlike deterministic software, an ML model might perform flawlessly in testing but stumble when faced with real-world data patterns it hasn't seen, or when interacting with other services under load. Deploying a new model version outright is like jumping from a plane without checking the parachute – a gamble no serious engineer takes. This is where Canary Rollouts become an indispensable tool in your MLOps arsenal.
