Defining Hard Dependencies and Soft Dependencies In My Financial Plan

The same client also funds my editor. I pay him $700 a month, which is about 9 hours of dev pay traded for 24 hours of my own editing time back.
Plans usually name hard dependencies (no fallback if the upstream fails) but not soft ones (what silently activates if it just pauses).
