Fenix PD35 V2.0 & Fenix UC35 1000 Lumen Flashlights

The best review someone can give for a product is to have history with that product and report on that history. In the case of the Fenix PD35 Flashlight, I am happy to report that I have been using the original PD35 for over 6 years and I wouldn't expect anything less from the new PD35 V2.0. The size of the PD35 makes it the perfect everyday carry flashlight.

The build of the PD35 V2.0 is similar in many ways to the original, with a few changes to make it better. First, the side switch for selecting the output mode on the V2.0 is all metal, unlike the rubber on the original version. Next, the side switch has a built in battery level indicator that turns RED when the battery level is low. As for the housing, it is still constructed of a 5.4" x .9" tube and the head is 1" in diameter. It weighs in at 3.1 oz (not including battery).

The PD35 has 6 modes. From and output as low as 3 lumens, all the way to a bright white 1000 lumens and a strobe mode that functions at the 1000 lumen level as well.
Runtime on the PD35 varies based on output level selected, but it is not a battery hog. It can last up to 430h on the lowest output level of 3 lumens and up to 2h 50m on the Turbo mode at 1000 lumens.

The throw on the PD35 is also worth seeing. At up to 820ft (250m) of throw, this flashlight can get you light where you need it.

I would personally recommend this flashlight for construction, hunting, fishing, camping, auto safety, airplane safety, office safety.

I also carry this flashlight daily in my tool pouch and it gets used at least once a week. The PD35 is a very dependable flashlight and it is a very durable flashlight.

The UC35 is similar in many ways to the PD35. The main differences are:
1) Built in micro-USB charging port
2) 5.5" long vs the 5.4" of the PD35
3) Moonlight Mode with an output of 1 lumen and up to 800h of runtime
