What does disruption mean to you? Would you rather say it’s a disturbance or problems that interrupt an event, activity or process as stated in the Oxford English dictionary, or maybe a dramatic alteration of a certain structure?

Dhairya’s response would most likely be “disruption is not what happens to you, it is how you respond to what happens to you”. By observing his environment, Dhairya generates quite unusual ideas such as shoes that guide you to your destination or to touchscreens that stretch and bend.

Dhairya is an award-winning researcher, inventor and futurist technologist who believes that human well-being can be achieved by an interaction of mindful design, innovative engineering, and radical paradigms. Besides many other awards, he was part of the Forbes '30 under 30' list, ELLE's '20 Names to Know list and named as the first WIRED innovation fellow 'innovators who will change our world'.
