India Pakistan Live Updates: The Indian defence forces on Thursday successfully neutralised missile and drone attacks on military stations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur carried out by Pakistan, after multiple loud explosions were heard in Jammu.

Blackouts and sirens were activated across the region. Sirens were also heard in Akhnoor, Samba, Baramulla and Kupwara. Indian air defence intercepted several drones and missiles fired by Pakistan.

This comes a day after India destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), the Pakistani military claimed that India has conducted a series of drone strikes in Lahore, Karachi and other locations.

Karachi airport was declared closed till 6 pm, while Islamabad and Lahore were briefly shut “for operational reasons” stated Pakistan's civil aviation authority.

In a statement from the Ministry of Defence, India stated that Pakistan had attempted to engage military targets in several Indian cities on May 7, including Awantipura, Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Chandigarh and more.
