Open source software's prominence opens it up to potential antitrust scrutiny. Open source software can be freely accessed, used, changed, and shared by anyone. Allowing developers to save time by incorporating others' work. But antitrust issues can arise, particularly in patent pools and standard-setting organizations. Like allegations of collusive behavior, monopolization in platform development, and misleading or deceptive conduct.
