Fit Vlog #9: Leg Day…again | Squats & Deadlifts + Trip to WNC
Hey Guys!
So this is my Fit Vlog from Thursday, November 12th. Normally I would be focussing on isolated leg movements on Thursday, but when I was doing my compound leg workouts on Tuesday I ripped my pants and my workout was cut short. So I did most of my Tuesday workouts on Thursday. BUT I hit a new PR on deadlift which is 315lbs. That was my PR in high school and I haven't lifted heavier than that since. So time to move up!
Here's my workout list:
Warm-up:
- Self myofascial release
- Active and Dynamic stretches
- Reverse lunges/10x's each leg/3 sets
- Alternating forward lunges/10x's each leg/3 sets
Back squat: Pyramid set
Set 1 - 135lbs
Set 2 - 185lbs
Set 3 - 225lbs
Set 4 - 245lbs
Set 5 - 225lbs
Set 6 - 185lbs
Set 7 - 135lbs
Front squats: Pyramid Set
Set 1 - 135lbs
Set 2 - 155lbs
Set 3 - 165lbs
Set 4 - 155lbs
Set 5 - 135lbs
Deadlifts
- 135lbs
- 225lbs
- 275lbs
- 295lbs
- 315lbs (New PR)
Dumbell deadlifts
- 5x5
Leg press/Superset with calf raises
- 5x5x30
Cool down:
- Self myofascial release
- Static stretching
- Sauna
