Following the great reception by the community after the introduction of Fixed Foveated Rendering in the OpenXR Toolkit, the team is excited to bring more modern technology through the project.

Fixed Foveated Rendering is a less sophisticated variant of the original Foveated Rendering technique. Foveated Rendering is meant to come with the use of eye tracking technology, to ensure that the image is always at its best quality wherever you are directly looking at in the virtual world.

The OpenXR Toolkit developers have made giant strides in development with eye tracking, and today I am pleased to announce that for Varjo Aero users, the next major release of the OpenXR Toolkit will include eye-tracked Foveated Rendering.
