EtherChannel is a link aggregation technology or port-channel architecture used primarily on Cisco switches. It allows grouping of multiple physical Ethernet links to create one logical Ethernet link for the purpose of providing fault-tolerance, load balancing and high-speed links between switches, routers and servers. This provides load balancing, efficient use of all link (since Spanning Tree would block most of them) and more.

We'll cover not just theory alone but hands on the cli, configuring Layer 2 and Layer 3 EtherChannels, verifying it and taking a look at EtherChannel load balancing,
