How to Free Up 2–5GB Space in C Drive Windows 10/11 | Disable Hibernation Using CMD powercfg -h off

In this video, I will show you a hidden Windows command that can instantly free up 2GB to 5GB of space in your C drive by disabling the hibernation file using CMD.

This method works on Windows 10 and Windows 11 and is completely safe if you do not use the hibernation feature.

Command Used:
powercfg -h off

Steps:

Open Start

Search CMD

Right click → Run as Administrator

Type the command and press Enter

This simple trick removes the hidden hibernation file (hiberfil.sys) which consumes several GBs of storage.
