What you see here is not a normal situation for Hong Kong, if no customers at these peak hours, many businesses are highly collapsed within few months. Why? Rent and labor cost are too high in HK, especially catering business won't able last long if property not self-owned. Even you see the existing businesses, my good guess there are 50% are not what they used to be, that is, these are just a temporary shops for substitute, selling phone accessories, garment outlets etc., making "illusion" of good looking environment.
