Most Americans are exhausted by politics. Is there a solution?
Gridlock in Congress is nothing new, but the past week of chaos on Capitol Hill – which started at the brink of a government shutdown and ended without a Speaker of the House – is indicative of an extreme dysfunction that’s taking a toll on Americans. Nearly two-thirds of the country always or often feels exhausted when they think about politics, according to a recent survey from Pew Research Center. The Edward M. Kennedy Institute collaborated with the center to think of possible solutions. The Institute's CEO, Adam Hinds, and board member Linda Dorcena Forry join host Abdallah Fayyad to go over their findings.
