Liopleurodon: The Deadliest Jurassic Sea Predator

Liopleurodon: The Deadliest Jurassic Sea Predator

You think the T-Rex was the ultimate predator? Think again.
Liopleurodon, one of the most lethal predators of the Jurassic seas, lived around 165 million years ago.
This colossal pliosaur reached up to 7 meters long and weighed 1–2 tons. With a massive 1.8-meter skull, short powerful neck, and strong flippers, it was built for explosive speed and devastating strikes.
It hunted using ambush tactics in shallow and mid-depth waters, detecting vibrations and movement before delivering one of the most efficient bites of the Jurassic — perfect for large fish, cephalopods, ichthyosaurs, and smaller plesiosaurs.
While dinosaurs ruled the land, the Liopleurodon reigned supreme beneath the waves.
