Was Veterinarian Ever as Good as I Thought? The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs Gameplay

I revisited the Veterinarian Skill/Retail system from The Sims 4 Cats and Dogs to see if it was as fun as I thought it was. It'd been a few years since I touched it. I was a bit bummed out by the results - what did you think of this occupation? Was it fun, or do you see the same weaknesses I do? If not, what are your complaints?
