La Pavoni Europiccola - upgrades and a double shot!

Some changes made to my 1985 Pavoni espresso machine since the previous video! Heatsink, group temp sensor, lever and tank pressure gauges and a single hole steam tip (not used in this video).

We have a Eureka Mignon Specialita, 55mm flat burr espresso grinder, doing 14g in a 49mm IMS La Pavoni Basket. BPlus distributor and a cheap amazon 49mm tamper handling the puck prep.

This was my first espresso using Krafted Brew Lab Roasters single origin Burundi beans, a local roaster from Bantam, CT, who just opened their doors a few weeks ago. I loved the shop and really wanted to take some beans home with me. You can see some really gorgeous tiger striping on the crema, and while crema does not tell the whole story about a shot I definitely enjoyed the sweet and tart flavors it gave off. They have an instagram account @kraftedbrewlab which I strongly suggest you go follow. Seems like a really passionate couple of java heads trying to make their coffee dreams come true.

Fill the comments section, I love interacting with the La Pavoni people on here so I'm happy to chat and answer any questions! Hope you guys liked the video as much as I enjoyed pulling this shot! :)

also, thank you to my wonderful girlfriend for filming this video, it makes everything look nicer when the video isn't vertical and stationary.
