Episode 11: Myelogram, Spinal Headache, and Blood Patch | by Mommy Runs It

Myelogram: a diagnostic imaging procedure using contrast dye injected into the spine to look for problems in the spinal canal, including the spinal cord, nerve roots, and other tissues.

Spinal Headache (postdural puncture headache): caused by leakage of spinal fluid through a puncture hole in the membrane surrounding the spinal cord. This leakage decreases pressure on the brain and spinal cord, which leads to a headache.

Blood Patch: an injection of your blood into the epidural space, used to close a hole in the dura matter of the spinal cord.
