This is a 2011 SRX but the video will show the procedure for most any vehicle.

WHAT I LEARNED specific to this vehicle application...!!!
The Dorman master cylinders that I bought were junk. This video is of me removing the first Dorman MC and installing another one because it was defective and causing the front brakes to come on. However the second one also was the same- actually slightly worse- as it locked the front brakes even more severe. The solution was to buy a genuine GM master cylinder for about three times the price and install it. Instant satisfaction and I have been driving the vehicle now for a couple months and the front brakes have never felt dragging. In fact, the instantaneous fuel meter registers around 7.9 l/100km on the flat now and before the best I ever got was 9.7.

If anyone wants to suggest other sources of the problem that is fine. However I have another video showing replacement of the front calipers and hoses and for that video the Dorman master cylinder number one was in the vehicle. There was no improvement. I did not make a video when I replaced the ABS motor.
