My Curly Hair Journey / A Line Bob Haircut

Everyone has a different hair journey, this is mine.

Curly Hair Journey Timeline:
0:31 - Age 12: First relaxer
0:44 - Age 17: Stopped relaxing my hair, but still used A LOT of heat on it..
0:56 - It hit me probably around the age of 24 (memory is not so good on this one), but around that time is when I stopped using so much heat on my hair. As my natural hair grew, I noticed how much damage the excessive amount of heat had actually done to my hair.
2:48 to 3:38 - Age 27: Got rid of almost all the heat damage by getting an A-Line Bob Haircut ;)

I am now 28 (July baby). One important lesson this journey has taught me is to not compare myself to others as "comparison is truly the thief of joy." ~ Franklin Roosevelt.

I am very happy I made the decision to embrace my natural curly hair. I see/feel a beauty in it that I sadly ignored before. I am glad that I have grown to truly love and cherish it.

Since I love to experiment with different hair styles; I cannot say that I will never ever straighten my hair again, but I definitely do not plan on straightening it any where near as often or as carelessly as I used to before.

Just remember ladies, at the end of the day find what works for you. Do what you feel works best for your hair/personal style; ensuring you do it with tender love and care.
