Ginger cat wins Garfield lookalike competition in Malaysia | ABS-CBN News

Cat owners with their orange-hued companions gathered at a mall in Sepang for a Garfield lookalike competition hosted by the Malaysia Cat Club on Saturday (May 18).
Adam Zailani, 26, was taken aback with joy when Hara, his soon-to-turn-four years old ginger male cat, emerged victorious and was crowned the ultimate Garfield lookalike.
"Hara is actually a stray cat. He looked like any other cat when we first adopted him," Adam said while recalling the uncanny resemblance his furry friend bore to the famous comic character.
For Adam, this competition was not just about winning a title but a unique celebration of diversity within the feline world.
"As most competitions are meant for expensive breeds. This time, it is a very good opportunity for Hara, a stray cat, to join the competition," he said.
More than 100 cats joined the feline gathering, where Hara walked away with a 500 Malaysian Ringgit cash prize, in addition to a supply of cat food and supplements. - Report from Reuters
