Media insiders cited similarities to Fox Weather and the Fox News–linked Fox Noticias, saying CNN en Español’s move echoes a rival strategy. Sources described the steps as responses to ratings challenges and shifting streaming economics affecting legacy TV.

Insiders told RadarOnline.com that executives across television are tracking competitors closely. CNN executives would likely argue they are modernizing their streaming strategy and expanding globally, the outlet reported.
