Many MGM Resorts’ Slot Machines Shut Down Amid Cyberattack
Chaos in Las Vegas continues following a cyberattack that targeted 12 hotels owned by MGM Resorts. At the MGM Hotel there are still signs posted warning customers of unforeseen difficulties. The cyber assault led to many slot machines shutting down and gamblers who wanted to cash out having to do it manually. A cyber crime organization, known as Scattered Spider, reportedly demanded a ransom from MGM.
